replacing engine on '98 XK8. What is this part and what does it do? Anyone know the part number?

Default Knock sensor
Hey Miguel,
It is a knock sensor - part of the engine management system.

Jaguar part # is LCA1692AE, but there may be cheaper alternatives: SU7012?
