What is the PCM / Strategy code?
I have a good friend that invented the Injector Dynamics line of racing fuel injectors. Injector Dynamics - Main Menu
He knows what I've done to the XKR and is asking me to provide him with the PCM/Strategy code for the car. PCM stands for Power Control Module. Many tuners use that information to create chips or electronic modifications to computer controlled vehicles.
Paul didn't tell me why he wanted the information, but he may be getting a set of injectors ready for use in my car. He's used to providing injectors for 1500 hp Lamborghini race cars and dragsters so, I think that he can make a set for my ride. =)
Maybe this is one for AVos. Do you know the answer, AVos? =)

The strategy code is a 'serial' number for the loaded PCM software. It takes a specialized code reader or the Jaguar diagnostic equipment to extract. I have one for the Ford cars but had never thought about trying to pull the Jaguar strategy number. With the low volume of these vehicles there is not much in the way of effective software tuning available.
Maybe I will try that this afternoon.

Be careful with changing injectors to higher flow ones if you can't tune the ECU. Am aware of injector dynamics, they deliver from what I understand very high quality, and more important matched flowed injectors. If they can deliver also V shaped spray pattern injectors it could be interesting. Although personally am still charmed about the Jaguar 4.2 ones that work under a higher pressure (4.5 bar) with several small (12 iirc) spray nozzles for a finer fuel atomization. They also offer still more room with upping the fuel pressure with the FPR you have now.
What do they want to know about the fuel strategy? Then I can maybe give a better answer.
