Default What should I look for in an 04 XK8

I am thinking of purchasing an 04 XK8. What are the weak points of this car that I should be looking out for. Also are these cars more problematic that an 03 X-Type ( which is what I own now)

Thanks in advance

I bought a 2004 XK8 last year with 16000 miles. I wish I'd bought one earlier. I'd check out all the electronics. Make sure the seats work. Maintenance records are a must. I got a 60,000 mile warranty with mine. Good Luck

The only real issue is an expensive one. The hydraulic hose leak at the top closure leaver. I would check to see if the hoses have been replaced recently and invest in one of the pressure reduction systems listed on this forum. (Hydraulic or electric)
