Default What a sight. Don't pop in on your body shop!!

Took a chance and stopped by my body shop to check progress yesterday morning. Yikes!!
Last thing I saw was my beautiful fenders and nose cone painted. Was hoping this was done by now but he wasn't happy with the boot lid. Just reason his Facebook he worked 24 hours and got it painted but didn't post pics. He also got my springs and mounts done too. What a sight. Don't pop in on your body shop!!-image.jpg

Perhaps you should check eBay for the missing parts because there's no sign of them there.

Lol.
They're in another bay, painted, cleared, and polished. This part of the car was in bad shape!! Lot more work!
The nose safely stored away until rest finished. ! What a sight. Don't pop in on your body shop!!-image.jpg

Phil are you going to leave the bump strips off the doors and front wing? Will look great without them IMHO.

They've been gone for months. But left some bad spots on the doors from removal so doors were bare metal sanded.

Phil,
Why were the parts removed from the car? Why couldn't it be painted intact?

The front fenders and hood were crazing so badly, he wanted to get them perfect. He's kinda picky!! The ready
He actually jacked the rear up so he could get every spot on the rear fenders.

I'd love to see the end result. You've done so much work to the car, that once its ready 100%, you'll find yourself reminiscing about the fun you had with it. Besides the paint and the interior reupholstering, what else is left in terms of improvements?

I just left body shop. He finished the main body of car and wanted me to see it. It freaking AWESOME!! Even in the fluorescent lights, it looks great!! So cool how the color goes from a deep brown metallic to this deep pewter black depending on light source.

That looks amazing! I know what you mean about good bodymen being detail oriented. Mari's dad is the same way, even more so on this, his eldest daughter's car!

Now he's just being mean!!! He's had two people want the color for their cars just today!!
One of the guys here had me worried about the top working with my new color, but my fears have been laid to rest!!
Loving the chrome against this color too. Glad I bought new wheels and have a chrome grille!!

Looking good.

A bonus is that this will make you healthier. Walking all the way from the back of the parking lot in public places to avoid the door-dingers will keep your cardio up.
