Having three coils fail on the same bank would be very unusual.

Actually, it's pretty common on this and the 3.0.

Sorry to dredge up an old old, but was the resolution to this? Was it your coils after all, or the ECU?

I’m having misfire issues myself and can’t pin down the reason as to why and am worried my chain skipped. I’ve tested all coils and plugs and I’m getting sparks, so I’m thinking it’s my ECU.

I had to replace my ECM. It was faulty and I had to replace the right upstream O2 sensor.
