Default what valve cover gasket?

I have a 199 xk8 with a leaking valve cover. Can I run the 2000 lincoln ls ones? would anyone by chance have a part number?

I take it that's a 1999? If so the vvt connections will be on top of the valve covers and Felpro VS50724R will fit.

Brutal - Are you saying a '98 and '99 have different valve cover gaskets? I need to replace them on my 1997. I also have 2001. What gaskets are compatible on mine? Thanks

Default Confusion

Hi.

Lots of confusion with part numbers of valve cover gaskets and sparkplug boss seals.
There is a changeover in part numbers from VIN 031302 and also a change from ENG Number 98 10 29 0000.
Again XKR is different from XK8. All according to JTIS.
Suggest you have your VIN and ENG NUM and check with JTIS to get the correct part number.

Ed.......Took a repair shop three tries to finally stop my valve cover leak. They solved it by using jag dealer gaskets, which were thicker than the ones their parts supplier had gave them.
