Default Where can I find an all leather steering wheel.

I am looking for the all leather steering wheel that came on the carbon edition cars.
I keep checking ebay but wondered if anyone knows somewhere else I can check. Called a few of the breakers but no luck. I've looked at wraps but they always look like wraps unless someone knows of a good option.

Phil
If my memory serves me right I believe the leather steering wheel was introduced in 2001 with the sports interior. I think the sport interior option was not as popular as the standard. I think you may have to just keep a eye out through the various yards. I did see one a year or so ago on E-Bay.

Hey Phil. Like this one, right?

Thanks to Ford, these cars are like legos.

I am pretty sure that this one is a drop fit. From an XJ8 of the same era. Plenty of these around...and cheap too!

We can discuss my finders fee whenever you are ready. I still want a pair of those red leaper emblems for the sides of my XK8.

Thiis is not the sport wheel. It is just a standard leather wheel.

Looks the same as this one in a carbon edition pic. Phil wasn't asking for a sport wheel. He's just wants black leather.

I don't know what differences a sport wheel would have. Can you enlighten us?

Look closely the wheel in the Carbon Edition is a thicker wheel. I could probally show you the difference as I think there are 3 wheels. The Carbon Edition, a standard sedan wheel which is shown above & the accessorie wheel which has perforated leather. If anyone is interested I would love to get rid of a few. I also have one in that was dipped in Carbon film.

This is the accesorie fitted to car car. It is the same size as the one in the first photo.

This is the Carbon Edition wheel.

Thanks for the lesson on steering wheels. Did not know anything about that stuff.

The perf model is an interesting piece. What benefit are the perfs when wrapped against a solid wheel? Just for looks I guess? Seems like it would be bitch to clean.

Phil has all kinds of choices now. I would not be surprised if he buys them all and periodically changes it on the car.

Wonder if an STR wheel would fit?

Probably would not be a drop fit. Controls/switches are all different.
