Wifes 2000 XK8 will not crank. Please Help

Just FYI, I had the same problem with the braided ground cable and replaced it with a heavy sheathed one. Cheap fix.

That 5a fuse without looking at the diagram is the one to the mirror lights and will prevent the car from starting. Often when removing the header people do not realize that the contacts for the mirror lights are inside the clips for the visors and end up shorting them out. First never over fuse it will bite you in you’re a_s. As for the concern that it was shorted and now it is not would concern me as I drive not knowing it will happen again but that is your call.

Wife went out to start the car and it wouldn't start. Fuse is blown again. Car ran fine jusf a couple days before.
