My drivers window switch stopped working. A brand new Jag unit arrived this morning quick install and guess what my drivers window switch opens the passenger window. Mirrors don't work at all. Any help, anyone?

 

I wonder how long it's been setting on the shelf. I had my switch a few years ago start acting up. I took it apart(very carefully) the corrosion was all over the contacts I cleaned all of the contacts with 2000 grit sand paper, cleaned it, greased it with dielectric grease re assembled it. It took three times re-sanding it to work properly. If your new switch has been setting for a few years it could have could have corrosion built up on the contacts.

Sounds like you may have plugged the connector incorrectly, but if not you might try a hard reset (remove neg battery cable, Touch it to POS terminal for 15 secs, reconnect to neg post) you will then have to reset you windows (hold down till beep/then up till beep on both sides)..

 

Got the window switch sorted thanks for replies but now I have another problem. The bank of switches that controls heated seats , traction control etc. The lights work at night but the illuminator LEDs that turn on when the switch is on won't. Took it appart all looks in order. Anyone had a repair?
