Default windscreen finisher is loose

On my 2001MY the windscreen finisher on the upper right corner is loose. How is this finisher fixed? with clips or glue? Thanks - Daniel

The trim is secured with clips around the perimeter of the windscreen.

windscreen finisher is loose-windscreen.jpg

The clips are embedded in the adhesive during the fitting process.

The top clip may have broken but could just need the trim pressing back onto it.

The usual procedure for fitting the trim is the fit the top corner first and work down to the bottom of the windscreen.

Here is a close up of what the clips look like.

Daniel: Please post whatever it is you find / do. My upper right corner is also popped out a bit, but I just haven't taken the time to address it.

Thanks! - Jim

According to the instructions from a member in a german forum I took off the trim. Unfortunately all clips broke or were broken before. (someone worked already on this issue)
Now I can not take out the broken parts of the Clips under Windscreen and therefore not put on new ones. I have to bring the car to a windscreen-replacement shop to do the work. They probably need to take off and on the windscreen.
