Default Windshield washer

Just bought a 1997 xk8 and it has most everything done that should be and runs like a top. Actually took it from calif.,to Colorado through 109 degrees in Barstow and Las Vegas no problem. Only item i forgot to ck was the washer system. Wipers work and motor runs but no fluid. Added fluid no help. Need a schematic to trace the lines to find the problem.

If you remove or pull up on the plastic plenum piece below the wiper arms you may be able to see the tubing that feeds the washers. In my car someone had crushed and put a hole in one of the lines (I think I posted some photos in another post--do a search). If that is the case it would be the simplest fix. The worse scenario is that the pump is shot which is located behind the wheel well on the driver's side.

on my 03 under the plastics under wipers, there is a plastic T in there on mine anyways that broke, so when i hit the wipers it just came out of the broke point into the cowl.

Yeah--I forgot to mention that T-piece which is a sort of check valve that keeps fluid in the lines. If that is broken you can either remove and replace with a simple T-piece or order the complete assembly (T-piece plus tubing) from a provider like SNG.
