Smile Wiper blades

So I’m new to the Jaguar forum having just purchased my first 2006 XK8! It’s gorgeous and has low miles! So forgive me for my simple request. Should I be buying wiper blades that are only Jaguar? I purchased two generic blades locally and the figment doesn’t look right plus the drivers side blade has some sort of air foil on it? Thanks for the help!

I use aftermarket wiper blade rubber inserts. The Trico 45-205 refills have worked well for me and are relatively inexpensive. The last pair I purchased came from Carquest Auto Parts....

If you choose to replace the entire assembly instead of installing just a pair of inserts, the Michelin 21-inch blade assembly available at Walmart is an exact fit and performs well....

I use Bosch Envision Beam wiper blades - they are terrific and do not skip or lift and are very quiet. They have a built in airfoil shape which is very unobtrusive and low-profile. Works perfect for my XK8. Autozone carries them.

A word of warning, and I wish I could be more specific as I don't remember the brand - they weren't cheap. I installed a set that would skip/chatter when the windshield dried. The aluminum casting at the bottom of the left wiper finally had enough and fractured. Dammit!

If they chatter, ditch them!
