Default Wood trim...not so?

I was working on my dash lights and was disappointed to find that the burl trim is actually stick on paper of some sort!

The vent covers are very sturdy cast aluminum with high tech contact paper covering them. The gauge surround is plasticwith what looks to be the same stuff applied.

At least my El Dorado had real (though cracked) Zebrano wood trim.

Now I wonder if the seats are really leather...

It is actually a very thin wood veneer, not a stick on paper.

It's thin, that's for sure!

+1 on what Lew said, and a very kind way of saying so.
