WTF? Seat reclined by itself and is stuck.
Woke up this a.m. and the driver's side seat was reclined all the way down. Can't get it to back to regular position. I think I hear a buzz when trying to get it to incline.
Anyone have a clue other than to replace the seat module or set the car on fire?
Thanks

I am in the same place with my car with various other things. I am at the point of lighting a match myself at times. I was dumb enough this type of car a 2nd time. ha ha ha
BUT last night i drove it, and even with the obvious front end work that it needs the ride and the cranking *** stereo makes it worth it. Lucky for me my issues are all non mechanical, knock on wood. Still a pain in the *** non the less. I have the octopus repair in front of me that I don't feel like doing myself.

As a temporary fix, you can switch the control modules for the seats to get the driver's seat back to a normal position.
The control module is a small gray box beneath each seat. You'll need a 10mm wrench to loosen two nuts, then the box will slide (with some effort) out from a bracket. Disconnect the electrical bits carefully. If you're able to, you should raise the driver's seat to its highest position for easier access. It will be a bit tighter under the passenger seat, but it's doable.
Plug the module from the passenger seat into the connections under the driver's seat, and you then should be able to move the seat back to a normal position.
Longer term fix is getting the circuit board repaired in the defective module. Search this forum, there are several threads on the topic.
Good luck.
