Default x100 fuse box location + IDS

From an old thread:

4. Replaced Fuse No 10 5amp Diagnostic connector (ignition) and Fuse No 13 5amp Diagnostic connector (battery) although they did not appear to be blown.

5. Checked every fuse in all 5 fuse boxes
The vehicle is a 2000 NA model year.

Not mine, which is why I have to ask such silly questions.

Where are the fuseboxes, and which fuse box contains the above fuses?

IDS "sees" the vehicle as a 2000 but model year 2003 once the VIN is
input.

The protocol manager barfs once IDS is commanded to diagnotic codes.

A generic OBD scanner, the obdlink from scantool.net cannot connect at
all.

Both of the above units work just fine on my own vehicle.

Just trying to do the right thing for a family member. One who I have told
many times she cannot afford to own the thing.

That was timely.
Just digging in the roadside guide.

Fascia fusebox - driver's side (LHD)

Hope this helps

Yes it does

It shouldn't take two hours to hook up a scanner and still
ultimately fail. I thought I was going to drop in, have an
iced tea, get the readings and go. I even had her transcribe
the VIN in nice big letters before I arrived.

You're in luck - it's one on the end of the dash under a clip-on cover (can't see it with the door closed).

Mmmm. 5 minute job for a friend. Now where did I hear that before

Mike

edit: Hope I'm not completely losing it... I thought I saw something about glovebox.

Nope, you're fine.

There was something about a glovebox ... before I looked at the
images a second time.

Mmmm. 5 minute job for a friend. Now where did I hear that before
