Default XK-8 on Mecum Auto Auction on Velocity (?) channel yesterday.

Yeah, VELOC (velocity channel?) had a fun show Mecum Auto Auctions. Some serious car eye candy. Not a bad way to waste an hour.

I managed to tape the key part (stilll need to figure how to export form Time Warner's HDrecorder to computer) when a 1997 XK8 convertible (Red) was brought out. While mileage was not cited and while it pulled about half of what I paid for 2000 XKR (which was a bit of a special find, what with 18k miles, and of course was an "R"), the commentary was charming.

The narrator described it as an "Anti Mercedes" for someone tired of heavy German product, something less often seen, a bargain for the look and ride, due to depreciation.

He'd do well hanging out here.

regards

david

That could seriously backfire on you if she thinks you're talking about dress size.

That could be fun to see. The only way I ever found to "copy" off of a Time Warner DVR was to play it back and put a DVD recorder (or VCR, perhaps) on the old composite output. Not high quality, but watchable for something like this. If you find a better way, let us know

Firewire is your friend...

By LAW they have to have a working firewire output.

All you need is the right video capture card / software. Or a Mac.

Take care,

George
