Default XK Wheels Needed -

Having a heck of a time trying to locate OEM or aftermarket wheels for my 2003 XKR.

Hoping to go up to 20" from the stock Hydra 18".

Ideally would like to locate a set of the Detroit twisted five spoke, or mayble the Montreal.

Like the 19" Apollo, but not sure if they clear the R/Brembo brakes.

I know that Coventry makes aftermarket for Jaguar, but not sure about how those would look on my Quartz XKR Conv., and have been warned about other aftermarket wheels that may not be hub and lug centric for Jaguar.

Appreciate the experience or advice of other members - or anyone selling (or swapping) a set.

I have a set of Detroits that have been refurbed with new trims, a bit of a distance but I have sent wheels to the states before, send me a PM if you are interested.

Default your wheels

Try LA wheel and tire. They are a chrome wheel store. You can buy outright or do a swap with them. I bought a set of Chrome Apollo wheels several wheels ago. They will help you with the off set. BBS Detroits are now selling for 3995$ maby free shipping too. Mag

Apollos are specifically documented by jaguar to not fit over the Brembos. Sorry.

If I wanted, or had to do a whole new set of wheels for this car, I'd go this way..XKracer fabricates adapters for the newer XK and XJ bolt patterns that can go on our car. There are a TON of nice XJ and newer xk wheels that I really like, and with the more availability, you might even spend less...even with the adapters purchased from XKracer. He does this all the time over there, so its a guaranteed match. (Sorry xkracer, I didn't mean to offer a warranty on your behalf)

Default XKR Rims

Thank you all for the responses and information. Very helpful.

XKRacer - lets follow up. I seem to be unable to send a PM at this point, likely because I just re-subscribed to this forum.

H20boy - that is a good idea as well. I have been warned against spacers, but if they are specifically fabricated that would be a nice option as there do seem to be a lot more of the late model rims out there and they are quite nice.

^ not to mention it will make your car 'unique' but keeping it jaguar parts...theoretically, retaining its resale value, and making it more appealing to buyers.

xkracer has shown us many xk8/rs he's done the wheel conversion for, his products are proven to work. Just imagine 20" sentas, takoba , 19" Sabre, Calisto, or Polaris on the earlier body style. Mmmmmm...nice!

PS, get your post count up to 10 and another 1-2 days of membership, and you'll be able to PM anyone on the forum.

Thanks Matt, but yes the adapter spacers work well, there are 2 methods each has a little compromise.

1st My adapters are 15mm thick, which puts the correct offset back in its place, but, this means the nuts protrude slighlty on the adapter and the pocket on the back of the wheel needs elongating, the benefit of this is you can lower your XK without rubbing issues. Take a look HERE.

2nd You can have 20mm adapters which means you don't have to machine the wheel but if you did lower your XK you will rub on the wheel arch
