Default XK8 to Aston Conversion - E-Type idea maybe more interesting?

I just read a 7 page thread on the Mid-Atlantic section of a still unfinished XK8 to Vanquish project (after massive amounts of work) - waste of time and money in my opinion - but hey, their money and their time - i was thinking yesterday if i had a right off XK8 and had the ability (i don't) - rather than try to make it into an AM - i'd like to see a kinda XK8/E-Type hybrid attempted - has anyone had a go at that?

I have considered it, you would get a whole different front end and rear, maybe door skins as the shape of the XK is not "barrelled" like the E Type, it would be a retro look alike rather than a copy, I think it would sell well, I just dislike E Types!

Default Xk180

Were it me, I'd consider an XK180 kit. It looks like nothing else and will supposedly go on either an XJS or XK donor car. I'm seriously tempted.
