XK8 Book Review(s)
I just finished reading Jaguar XK8 The Complete Story by Graham Robson. ($29 at Amazon)
It's a great read and great book IMO. Tells the background of the XJ-S, how and why the XK8 was based on it's platform, the Ford acquisition, the connection to the Aston Martin DB7 (seperate chapter with pictures on it), the evolution and specs for each model year and/or options, production and sales figures, and a chapter on the new XK. It's loaded with color pictures, including design studies, XJ41 and 42, the XK180 and F-Type projects and lots of facts and figures. For example: sales in the US was 50,048 out of 90,616 produced. I highly recommend it for the enthusiasts as most of us are.
Now I'm going to read You & Your Jaguar XK8 by Nigel Thorley. Let you know about it later. Also don't forget Jaguar XK8 A Modern Sporting Icon by Jaguar World, another must have book if you are a DITY type.
