We have an 2005 XK8 convertible.

We’ve been told that it is a limited, edition, carbon fiber, but searching the van does not support that. How would we know for sure? Either way, we would like to sell. We are planning a move from Florida back to Minnesota soon and would like to sell the Jaguar before we leave.
It is in very, very good condition, with 70k? miles.
Only problems? Electrical. So the small side windows will not roll up. Something about the sequencing when we used the convertible top. Also, the dashboard lights are out.
Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated

 

Welcome to the forum, I see you've been a member over a year, hopefully the forum has served you well. If you want to sell the car - you cannot post it for sale in the technical section, IAW forum rules (1st link below), you will need to post in the Forum MarketPlace. I'm sure folks will chime in on the technical issues and limited edition status, cleaner pics would help and also pics of the upper shock mounts - looks like they may need replaced soon but too grainy to tell

Hi,
being the owner od two XK8,s the simplest ways to try to re-sync the little is
1. Cycle the top a few times
2. Stand outside at the driver's door and hold the key as har as it will go in the direction of locking or unlocking the door. if unlocking the windows will do down all the way. and if locking hold all the way it will go in the lock and the windows will cycle.

Good luck in MN. It's cold but in my opinion the cultural climate is warmer. We are leaving FL as well.
