XK8 Differential Output Shaft Housing

Does any have info on correct procedure for reinstalling the output shaft aluminum bearing housing into the differential. I would think the correct tolerance needs to be set to position the crown gear

I have never had that housing out. I have done output shaft bearing changes but this is normally just circlip removal and shaft/bearing comes out leaving housing undisturbed.

that seems to be a common repair, mine was leaking at the o ring around the outside of the housing. Believe these housings are to set back lash on the gear set
