I’m about to do a bunch of work to all my suspension components, ie all new shocks, all control arm bushings, all ball joints, tie rod ends, sway bar end links… anyway I figured while I’m in there I might as well do the hub bearings too.

Question I have is in my parts list I got off the sticky’s here it lists my front bearing numbers as mja1830ad, and I can’t find much for that exact number for a decent price, but I can find decently priced mja1830ae bearings. Anyone know if these “ae” ones are a superseded number or will they not work? Thanks in advance

 

The 1997/1998 XK and 1998 XJ hub bearings are 76mm.

Later cars use 80mm bearings.

The MJA1830AD seems to have superseded to the MJA1830AE

 

Other way round, I think you mean - E has superseded D

Ok so just to reiterate, ae has replaced ad and either are the correct part, and/or will work for 97 xk8 coupe, vin ending in 001363, is what I’m taking from this, please advise if I am mistaken, and again thanks!
