97 XK8 I have just replaced my left intake cam. It seems to run smooth but the idle is low and I cannot hold an RPM between 500 and 2000 RPM. after 2500 it smooths right out. There is a vacuum hose under the water tank I can't find where it would attach to. I have pulled codes 1, 0102 mass air A bank 2. 0112 intake air. 3. 0340 cam position A bank. 4. 0440 evap open .1336 cam position 6. 0102 mass air low bank A. The brakes required pumping before trying to move and after there was almost no braking and the pedal was solid when at the applied. non of these codes were found before the repair. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Chances are good that your brake booster check valve is not working. If this valve fails, the brakes get hard and you lose vacuum.
