Hope someone may be able to help
Had a problem with the heater hose so done the repairs to the heater pipes removed the battery re connected the battery after around 3 weeks, now the car reads gearbox fault and the reading on the charge goes off the clock ,have tried disconnecting the battery and leaving overnight then reconnecting but still same problem, had the codes cleared but soon as the car starts it reads gearbox fault and the dash lights go bright and then dim any advise you can give would be appreciated
Thanks

Charge indicator? you mean voltmeter? sounds like the voltage regulator has packed in, very common. You have 2 options, either remove the alternator and fit a new voltage regulator or fit a new alternator. I would go for the later.
