Default XK8 - passenger seat

I have a beautiful bright red XK8. The passenger seat will lift the headrest and lumbar, but will not move up, down or forward or reverse. I am told Ford makes a control that will solve the problem. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

I've moved your question from Off Topic to XK8/XKR forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

You should add Model and Year details for your vehicle.

The seat control module is famous for failing. You can swap with the driver's seat to verify the fault. Common problem is that one or more of the printed lines on the circuit board is broken.

There is a technician doing repairs on the units in Southern CA. See: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...working-27096/

As far as the Ford seat module the Jaguar one says FORD on the case and I had a Lincoln with a module that looked exactly like my non functioning XK8 but it wouldn't work. Apparently close, but no cigar.
