For those of you with a noisy center bearing, and failing to find answers;

- The bearing used in my 2003 4.2L 6 speed XK8 is the exact same one as used on various other Jaguar models (x308, x300, XJ40, etc), below are 2 pics of my XK8 bearing, and a used x308 one.
- They are newly available as an individual part, and it is not necessary to buy a complete assembly.
- I bought the new bearing as specified for a x300.
- Given the similarity over the various models, I presume the same parts fits the 4L models, but have no confirmation on that.
- A very very helpful thread from HIGHHORSE can be found on the X308 forum, with info on the bearing, and its availability in the USA.
