XK8 Purchase Advice
For what it's worth my advice would be to look behind the front subframe in the wheelarch area for rot. I've spent the winter welding both my xkrs up here aswell as the ends of the sills. Add in the usual place in the footwear and the rear subframe mounting area. If you can't repair these areas yourself then it might not be financially viable if they need doing. Which country you in?
I'm in Michigan and have not seen the potential car yet. I do not prefer to work on mid west cars because of inevitable body rot. I just finished welding up a complete Etype and would not be looking forward to do that extensive an update. Thanks for the advise. Potential price is right but If it's full of rot I will walk quickly.
