make sure you have a model year that has a 4.2 engine or has had the engine updated to remove the plastic. That's the only caveat I would place on buying a XK8 cat.

 

I do feel a weird thrill every time I put the top up and don't get showered on. It's like an adrenaline rush, but in reverse. However, I don't think I could stand that much excitement four or five times a day. The really dopey part is I have the valve mod kit in my trunk and have not cleared sufficient time to do it. Maybe I'm waiting for some green motivation!
