Good morning.
Still new to the forum and finding my way around (did post on new member forum). Recent purchase of 2001 XK8 convertible and, of course, want to replace cam timing gear before I can really enjoy it! The number of timing kits out there is staggering. The price discepancy is staggering. I imagine there are good quality and junk parts, but it is difficult to find any objective information on which manufacturers make good quality parts.
I want to repeat a question from another thread that seemed to have gotten lost, or no one had and answer.

Also, is there an official workshop manual available with all the procedures for R&R of parts (not just timing gear) for this car?

Do a search on the page for 'Workshop'. You need the second edition.
