Xkr 2001

When lifting up door handle to open door (outside), the window automatically moves down about 1/2 inch for rag top clearance. Just started to malfunction as each time the handle is moved up the window automatically moves down about 3 inches? Even with the door open a can continue to pull up on handle each time the window will move down on both doors? Any suggestions as to why this started and what is best fix?
