I've completed the paint job on my '97 XK8 and had picked up an XKR mesh grille. Decided I like what I have and don't want to just keep this thing laying around. It's in great shape. Only the grille, no hardware. Any one need one/want one? What's it worth? Price?

With overriders, i've seen the 3-piece set sell in the $400-$500 range on ebay, I paid $300 from a JF member myself awhile back. New overriders, primered only, are about $75ea from dealer. That should give you a starting point of any negotiatons.

 

As a purist, my personal taste always goes toward an original part over an after market one. Sorry Lunatipro but when I look at those you've shown I think they are made only for ease of install. You can by the 3 piece look just jam them in the void. These factory originals will require a bit more effort, time and skill to install.

My overridders are in great shape so just finding an original grille in this condition I counted myself lucky. Regarding the price I guess if I ask $250 that would be about right as that's what I paid for it anyway. Just pass it along to my brothers.

 

I'll offer 100 but I think its worth more.

 

For a hundred bucks I'll just let it sit in my storage bin. Might change my mind some day. If anyone really does want it however, let me know. I'll put it on Craigslist and see if someone local may want it.

 

I'll have to agree with you Padrino those after market ones just don't look like the quality of the original. $250.00 a pretty good price. list price from Jag $750.00 a couple of years ago.
