Question XKR overrider inserts

I'm looking for the inserts that fill the cutouts on the sides of the overriders when using an OEM XKR mesh grille. I'm unclear whether they were even ever available as separate parts. Does anyone know of a source? Does anyone know their Jaguar Part Numbers? I also wonder if there slightly different cutout shapes over the X100 years. My car is a 2003.
Thanks!

I'm not sure the XKR even has cut outs. The XK8 would have these for the steel bar design.

Are you using XK8 overriders with a XKR grille?

I have just checked mine and def no inserts. The overriders are solid plastic with no markings or cutouts.

Mine is a late 2002 reg but is a 2003 model with the 4.2 engine.

Hello Owen

Thank you for your response. Yes, I am using XK8 overriders with an XKR grille. A friend has a similar situation. He has an XKR grille on his 2001 XK8. His overriders do appear to have some sort of blanking inserts in the side cutouts (visible in this photo). I also seem to recall another thread in which the subject of inserts was discussed. I'm searching for it.

Cheers,
Bill

Yea i did see the pic but not sure they are official.

Sorry not really any help but just wanted to let you know my xkr ones are solid. It may be easier to just source a set of xkr overriders on ebay.

I am planning on removing mine soonish so you are welcome to them but they would need repainting.

I appreciate your kind feedback. Solid XKR overriders would certainly be preferable (and look better). I have to remove the entire nose of the car to extract the overriders from behind the mesh grille. Bit of a chore, but worth it in the end, I think. The XK8 overriders are a tad unsightly with those openings on the sides now that the mesh grille is installed. If, as you say, you will be removing yours sometime soon, I would definitely be interested in taking them off your hands. Let me know how much you want for them including shipping costs. You can PM me if you'd like. Thanks again!
