I've decided to take the XKR on its first real road trip from Alberta out to BC. Leaving tomorrow.

I think I've done all the maintenance the previous owner missed...but any last minute advice for the condemned?

1. Oil change to synthetic (5W30)
2. New air filter
3. Supercharger oil change (and a last minute panic replacing the hose)
4. Air pressure good
5. Fluids all topped up
6. check air pressure in the spare tire

Before that I put in a realgauge kit, added an MP3 stereo, and replaced the twitchy norma fitting.

I'm a roadtrip veteran so am carrying the usual spare oil and coolant...but I added an OBDII pocket scanner and a mini socket set.

I've noticed that the XKR does not run on gasoline...it actually runs on pure frustration. I hope I've paid it enough. I'll either post some cool pics, or a thread on roadside fixes...

Take some micro fibres clothes and quick quick spray on cleaner, you get all unpacked and find the hotel towels are nust to coarse to clean all the bugs off thenose.
