Default XKR spoiler measurement for a Convertible...

I am in the process of mounting a spoiler on my 2001 XK8 convertible - I got the spoiler from a member here and it came off of a 2000 XKR.

For those of you that have an early model XKR, could someone please give me an idea of exactly where the spoiler sits on the trunk lid (i.e. how close to the edge of the trunk). Maybe you could measure down from the rear window/convertible top side of the trunk down to the spoiler and give me those measurements in the center and on each end. That would be GREATLY appreciated.

I had measurements from the seller to the holes that accept the "pins" on the spoiler, but I opted to just cut those off rather than drill into my beautiful trunk/boot lid

Chris, You could just make some black dots on the trunk lid from the measurements I gave you and get some clay and stick it to the bottom of the spoiler. Match the clay and the dots up and press it on. Make some light marks around where the spoiler is sitting and then use the double stick tape to attach. just an idea, good luck!!

I'll give your two measurements, since the trunk is curved I picked a ref point to measure from, this is the top corner on each side (near roof) it's 33 1/2" to end point of spoiler, the spoiler is centered with 1 1/2" on each side from the point to the edge of trunk lid.

Excellent! Thanks! Can I bug you for one more thing? When looking at the side profile of the rear of the car, is the spoiler even with the back edge of the trunk - if you had a level vertically on the trunk would it touch the spoiler? Or is the spoiler up the trunk a little or does it hang over some?

A PICTURE of the side profile would be awesome

Sorry to be a pest...
