Can anyone think of how I might have caused my amber engine warning light to come on after replacing the rear subframe, front wishbone bushes and upper/lower ball joints? I disconnected the exhaust in-front and behind the rear axle before dropping it. Don’t remember affecting any relevant sensors. The car drives perfectly and is not in limp mode. The light wasn’t on before commencing work. I’m a big believer in cause and effect!
Merry Christmas to all.

additionally, I don't recall there being any O2 sensors aft of the downpipes/cats so I am thinking maybe you jostled or disrupted some of the evap emissions gubbins that are in the rear, if I recall correctly. But yes - read the fault code(s), the diagnostic port and electronics are your friend.
Bought the Icarsoft v2 and set up to read engine fault code - you may recall, my engine warning light came on after replacing rear subframe + front wishbones. Checked everything and nothing is obvious.
It reads other fault codes at the same time, so, reader is installed ok.
Any thoughts on why it says ‘fitted’ but isn’t communicating with ECM for diagnostic purposes? Thanks. ECM won’t register with ignition on?
