Passenger side of low pressure line from cooling tube to metal tube from rack, with pipe insulation. Yeah its the same stuff you get from the home center to insulate your water pipes, 1/2" id insulation for 3/8" id power steering line.

This is how I choose to expand the 3/8" ps line on one end so it would fit on the nipple on the res. Heat gun to limber up the rubber hose on a 30 degree day. Add enough 16 penny nails to expand the hose. Then quick like a bunny remove the nails, run across the garage, and cram this on the res before it cools and shrinks. Repeat as necessary.

Repaired drivers side of cooling tube. If you follow the line to your left you will see the pipe insulation I used. Clamp with #4 breeze clamp. To the right of the breeze clamp you will see the insulator and clamp that holds the cooling tube. I slide the insulator out and them was able to lift the tube out of the clamp. Looks like I need to adjust it some!

Repaired passenger side. Both of these hoses and clamps were installed from the top as pictured. The clamps were fastened from above as well. Plenty of room.

This is my engineered clamp for the connection under the air box. The outer 5/8" heater hose encases both sides of the ferril on the metal line. With a split 1" piece of 3/8" ps line on the bottom clamped and the top line is from the passenger side of the cooling tube. This locks the hose in place around the ferril.

Tools required: Vaccuum Pump, Dremel with cut off wheel, fuel line clamp release thingy's, ratcheting clamp tool for spring clamps, small metric socket kit, Heat gun, 8-10 16 penny finishing nails. And about 6 hours at a beer pace.

Parts needed: 6 lineal feet of 3/8" low pressure power steering line, 1 lineal foot 5/8" heater hose, 5 lineal feet of 1/2" pipe insulation, 1 each P/S suction hose, 2 each #4 breeze clamps for 3/8" line, 2 each breeze clamps for 5/8" heater hose, 1 quart of dexron III.

New P/S suction hose. If you do not have the ratchet clamp tool to remove the spring clamp off the pump you are in for a very long day.
