Gently prodded the soft rubber bit of the connection away from the crimped end with this large screwdriver indicated and it started squirting in that location.

Seafrost does suit the beautiful lines of the STR. A great colour in its day. Much nicer that the myriad of very boring silver and grey around. Some greys I've seen looking like they've left the factory with a clear coat over a grey primer..

Brembo parkbrake caliper showing RH parkbrake cable sheath end, still secured. As hook end of cable had snapped off I was able to pull cable out through from the other side.

Photo from a fleabay seller. Surprisingly selling what appears to be a RH parkbrake cable (for the Brembo setup) along with the actuator. However, I can't be certain that its not the LH cable. Most sellers are just offering the actuator. The bend in this (assumed) RH parkbrake cable shown is where it's secured by the bolt/bracket in question.
