I’d really rather do a Re spray than be forced to strip all the paint off and do a total repaint.

The thickness of this adapter needs to be based on which transmission you use.

This is what you will need to make. The holes for the bolts aren’t hyper critical. Drill them slightly oversize They only clamp. The ones holding the plate to the block are Allen head, Flathead, countersunk. the 2 alignment holes are the critical part. You can use brad point bit drill bits to exactly transfer the location. If you don’t have a set of transfer punches. Then drill slightly undersized and ream to final size for accuracy.

This is nothing but a simple late of ordinary aluminum. Transfer the holes on the Chevy bell housing and then transfer the the holes from the Jaguar’s bell housing.
The only critical holes are the 2 alignment holes. The rest of the bell housing holes aren’t hyper critical they just clamp the transmission to the engine.
It will take you a Saturday morning to make. Assuming you have a drill press and a way to cut aluminum plate
Ask I’ll walk you through the process step by st

This is easy and reasonably cheap to convert to a Chevy Manual transmission
Ask and I’ll walk you through it step by step. The adaptor can be made in a morning using a drill press and something to cut the plate.

This is a simple adaptor you can make in a morning if you have a drill press and a way to cut aluminum. then find a good used Chevy manual transmission. ( or if you want you can buy a brand new TKX for about $2800)
But it will be a lot cheaper than buying a kit.
