After 16 year of Standing the Old Pads had to go, which also gave me a chance to check the Rear Calipers.

Absolutely Amazing! Only £1 from the Pound Shop. It makes it so much easier when you can see what you're doing.

These are a slightly different design that doesn't have a slot. Not the ones I wanted but they were what I got, as the Company I bought them off were using 'Generic Photos' But as it was so much hassle to have to send them back, I put it down to experience and decided to keep them.

Out of the Box, the New Pads were a really tight fit and so not for the first time, I skimmed a bit off with the Sander.

That's the way to do it! After I skimmed a bit off the edge of the metal backing pad, they went in dead easy, complete with a New Fitting Kit.

When this Brake Pad was New it Slid in easy but not any more it just jams. So after I got out the Sander and Skimmed a few thou off it slid in without any problem.

After Sanding a couple of thou off the Top and Bottom of the Metal part of the Pad it went in easy. Don't let the Brake Cleaner anywhere near the Rubber Pistons on the Caliper, just in case it makes them soft or melts them.

Just Wizz a bit off the Top and Bottom Edge with a Sander or File, until the Brake Pads Slide in and out nice and easy using fingers only.

Brand New Drill But I can't get the Chuck undone

Bargain of the year! But only if I can get the Chuck undone, as unlike my other drill, there is not a button to lock the Motor.

My regular Drill has a Button to lock the gears so that you can undo the Chuck. My 'New Drill' doesn't have that.

Notice the very fine join in the middle of the rubber drill Chuck. But if you hold the back half still, you still can't unlock it.
0
2017/01/28 16:11:06
orangeblos
In Order to unlock the Chuck, you have to pull the back half of the Chuck towards the drill, at which point you can feel a ball bearing click.

2017/01/28 16:14:46

Then you can put a drill bit in and twist both halves of the rubber Chuck in opposite directions, in order to grip the drill.

Once the drill bit is gripped in the Jaws of the Chuck, you push the back half of the Chuck towards the drill bit to lock it. And then its Job Done! All Credit apparently goes to the GF!

Also pull the FPR on 'B' Bank to keep as a Spare, the one by the Red Oil Filler Cap, as you know.

Although the heads on these Screws were rusted away, I've managed to remove one with my locking pliers and the second one is also starting to turn.
