How come you have an S badge on the back of the car but not on the front? Did you change the grill?

So, which car gets the version with no dash?

I considered getting "F-TYPE" (still available in NC, traumadoc), but I decided to stick with my "UNC."

Around here, that gets lots of notice.

Meh, I couldn't care less what someone else does to their car.

I didn't buy the "S" model for the badge (in fact I removed my "S" badge).

It's your car and you can do what you like, but as a car enthusiast... boy do I think that's an unrespectable choice. Why not go for the R badge and pretend you have the top model?

You can call it pretend if you want but to me,the base car doesn't look symmetrical with F-Type badging on the left and nothing on the right so if you really need an explanation, that was my reasoning for doing it...I'm certainly not trying to fool anyone.

Obviously the R badge wouldn't work with V6 exhaust pipes...

You could, and it would be a cheap "upgrade," but the exhaust configuration would be a quick tell to anyone in the know.

mis-representing a vehicle has always been a no-no in my book.

If you were looking for symmetry, de-badging the F-Type letters would have made more sense.

I thought about that but this showed up on eBay for $7.80 and solved that problem.

All of my past muscle cars were real deal Z/28's and SS454's so all the proper badging and stripes were in place but I'll bet more than half of them you see nowadays are clones...and I'm OK with that.

Unless one of you guys wants to make the payments, the badge stays,lol...

There's a big difference between a clone with the proper motor/transmission/body panels of the car it's copying and someone just sticking a badge on the body. I don't respect either, but a clone is significantly better.

Putting a badge on your car makes it less special for the rest of us who paid the money for that model. As I said, it's your car and you can do what you want, but I won't respect you for it. And I'll tell you that because I'm a dick.
