Default Lambo Doors.....

Was browsing through Ebay recently and found this:

Lambo Doors.....-f-type-lambo-doors.jpg

Personally, I think it's too "ghetto" for a F-Type and to me, Lambo-style doors only look good on a Lambo. But what do you guys think?

(I think I even saw a Honda Civic Si with Lambo-style doors on a YouTube channel a while back.....lol).

Actually, it is a pain to get in and out of the F in a tight car park the car is low and the doors are long. This would make it much easier to get in and out.

too many ricers have destroyed the exclusivity of that feature. just cheapens the appearance of the car.

The doors being so long and you sitting so far back means that for any chance to get your feet out the door it needs to be open at least half way and preferably more unless you have the feet of a ballerina. Getting my feet out onto solid grund is always the problem - after that it is easy.

On a couple of occasions after performing that unique dance it requires to extract myself from the driver seat of the coupe in a tight parking space, I've seriously considered that it may be easier to enter and exit such spaces via the trunk. If there was a simple way to cover the arm rest to prevent shoe damage and the cargo cover was left at home it would actually be quite a bit more dignified. And I'm a fairly slim 32 year old.

Everything on the coupe is bigger. The trunk lid comes to within an inch of the concrete ceiling in my usual multistory car park. I have to avoid the bays with tube lights or it would make contact at the top.

Given those lambo doors as a choice though I would rather just buy a convertible for car park destinations and keep the coupe as is. The doors would hit the ceiling anyway.

The maximum opening on the trunk lid can be adjusted. Procedure is in the owner's manual. You might want to adjust so you can use all the bays.

I bought the smart top for this very reason for my vert. So I can get out in tight car spaces and close the roof from the outside, however with so many problems with low battery I am very cautious about using it now.

Maybe on the internet. I have never seen after-market vertical doors in the real world.

There are two mustangs and a charger that I see every Saturday with the vertical doors. Somebody is selling the hinges.

I think those doors are perfect on a Lambo - and nothing else.

Scissor doors are not my thing.

Gull wing on a 300SL? Sure. I remember thinking every car would end up with gull wings, in the future.

The Tesla X can't be saved by the doors, either. It's a mini van with cool doors.

I also prefer dihedral or butterfly doors over scissor doors.
