Question Front and Rear Reflectors

I have a 2005 S Type R and recently purchased the smoked "repeaters" but have been unable to find a company that sells the reflectors that are smoked. I have read up on the VHT Nightshades and can do it myself but would rather purchase them ready made. Anyone know of a company that sells those or where I could buy the regular lens just for back up if I screw up the ones I have?

Default possible help

Maybe this site:
http://www.klearz.com/jaguar.htm

I've never used them, but it looks like they sell smoked reflectors. Good luck!

Thanks for the info but I've already tried them and they aren't taking any new projects unless its from a group..I can purchase the lens elsewhere and then ship to them to be smoked but that just seems like a bit of a long drawn out process and I'm a kind of an instant satisfaction guy, I hate waiting on things...lol...Thanks anyway...

That's a start...I'll found out what constitutes a "group" and we can go from there. I did find some on Jagbits but at $102.00 for the pair plus shipping, I figure there has to be a better buy out there. Also found some in the SNG Barratt catalog for about $55.00 for the pair so that's not too terribly bad. I just really want the smoked lens so I don't have to screw mine up and keep buying until I'm happy with it. I know from experience, that would take quite a few sets of lenses before I like the outcome.

I'd also be up for a group buy depending on price (and shipping to the UK). I've got a set sitting in the garage waiting to be colour coded but I'm not convinced it's the way to go - some 'proper' smoked lenses would be far better.

I should be getting an email from klearz.com today with all the details on a group buy with pricing. I'll post the email as soon as I get it...

Default Info from Klearz.com

Here's the email I received with the information regarding a group buy and what they require. Let me know if there are enough people and we can go from there...

Hi,
That's great to hear that others are interested in the group buy. What we're looking for is commitment of some sales before investing the time and money into making molds.

So we ask the community to submit their interest, it has to come from serious buyers. We need to gather 10 interest. We also ask for 5 down payments.

If you think there is enough interest for this, I'll go ahead and create the project page and we'll see where it goes.

Here is an example of a group buy we put together recently, it should give you a good idea of what to expect

..: Klearz :..

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks
Tina

Me for sure, again though as long as the price and shipping aren't too bad. Not sure of the politics but is it worth canvassing the UK site?

Mina gallery makes the smoked turn signal side marker.

As for the corner reflectors... consider just painting over them body color, much cleaner! Several guys on here have done that, including myself...

When you paint the lenses the same color as the car, are they completely blacked out or does the light still come through at night? My paint is "Ebony 1807" if that makes a difference.

I tried the VHT Nightshades over the amber reflectors.
By the time the amber was obscured, the reflectors just looked like black rubber.
I ended up removing the tint after a couple of days.
I did install the Adamesh smoked side lights and they look great.
Now I just want this project to happen, and all will be good!
Come on S Type owners..come on board!!

It will be difficult to commit without an idea of price - did they give any indication?
