Window Doesn't Roll Back Up
OK... you know how when you pull on the door handle and the window rolls down about half an inch, and then when you close the door it rolls back up? Well my driver's door does the roll down bit, but it doesn't roll back up. I have to manually roll it back up with my finger on the button! It takes so much effort, and I want the car to do it for me automatically like it's supposed to. Any thoughts?

Have you first synced the windows Sam? when closed (and you inside) press button to lower, and when it reaches the extent of travel, keep holding the switch down, you'll hear a click in about 4 seconds...then go all the way up, till it stops, then keep holding the button, another click. Now open/close...see if that works.
If it doesn't, two possible problems - (1) weak battery unable to hold the memory or (2) door latch switch (recognizes you pulled up, but to it, you never released it)

That did it! However, now I noticed something weird. My driver's window rolls down slightly when I pull on the handle, and it rolls back up as soon as I release it. The passenger door rolls down when I pull the handle, it stays rolled down while the door is open, and it rolls back up when the door is closed. It's not a big deal, it's just weird how the two windows operate slightly differently.

The door panel is easy to take off. I had to remove the rear window channel to get the latch out. Took me about an hour.
And definitely watch out not to trip the automatic door lowering. Best to disconnect the battery. It happened to me with my previous XK, I had my hand in there and the window lowered suddenly. I have the scars to remind me of that painful moment.

That micro switch could probably be replaced with a Cherry brand micro switch available from electronics parts stores on the cheap. That is a Burgess micro switch. If you can get a part number off of it, Allied Electronics carries Burgess micro switches. Newark also has some that might work.

Matt, The side of the switch shown just says Burgess, the PN's I listed above are on the opposite side of the switch.
I've attached a datasheet and verified the external dimensions, length and width match. The measured height is taller but it looks like the plastic cover on the bottom around the terminations is actually a separate connector.
I'm not sure why but the PN on the back of my switch is missing some of the fields on the last page of the datasheet. The PN I listed above is definitely all thats stamped on the switch, nothing has rubbed off. If Allied can't find a match, or a substitute from an alternate manufacturer I may be able to contact Digikey, or Burgess directly.

The video below shows how to remove and replace the door latch. The switch itself is attached to the latch, so after you get the latch out you can replace the switch. I don't have the part number handy, but do a search here on the forum, there's another thread somewhere that gives the part number.
Also, the little plastic bit on the end of the push-rod to the key lock mechanism might be worth buying from the Jag dealer (assuming it's available separately from the handle mechanism). I broke mine while removing the latch. I repaired it by drilling a hole in it and using a zip tie to hold it to the latch. (I didn't have any bailing wire handy)

Spray a little WD40 in the door latch mechanism first prior to removing it I found that most of the problem was the lack of lubrication.
I have the same issue, when you open the passenger door, the window goes down a little and then right back up. Then when you close the door, it hits the top. Also the interior light does not come on when you open the passenger door.
Where is the switch you were showing, somewhere behind the door panel. Is there a good picture of how to take the door panel off.

Just tidying this HOW-TO.
