2014 Leavenworth Drive
Last Saturday in September (27th)
So lets lock this down.
In 2012, our event was on the 20th of October, and we hit scary snow on the passes. In 2013 it was held the last weekend of September, with only light rain on the western side of the mountains, and blue skies to the east.
I hope you will agree that this is a great event regardless of the weather, but to keep it easy and safe for all cars, I would like to stay in the late September concept.
Lets get a list of attendees going!

Greetings...
I have relinquished my position as regional coordinator for JaguarForums.
Although I hope to attend this drive, I am no longer in the position to be your host or coordinate the drive.
As it is a third annual event, it should be easy for someone to step in and finish the tasks.
We need a volunteer host...
Thanks all for your support.

I second the idea of Marko in front. With that awesome exhaust system of his, every cop will be looking closely at him and not even notice the rest of us. I hope we can get Rahtok and Growler to join in too, and hopefully a few new participants. I am improving every day, and my participation is now almost certain.

Oh, let's hope that isn't going to be a factor!
Any new members that haven't come on a drive before just post up your interest here. This is a good one to get started on. Really gives you the itch to drive some more!
I'll get the handout finished up and posted here pretty soon. That'll have all the maps, details and times.

Here's the new driver's handout. Clevername, take a look at the maps and make sure I've got it right. I don't have the stops labeled, because I never pay attention to that sort of thing. It's why I'm not good at leading.
If anyone has any suggestions, post 'em up!

Excellent job, Jay. I would say that you are a bit conservative on your weather and temperature ranges given. We will be crossing three mountain passes, two of which (Stevens and Swauk/Blewett) are high altitude alpine roads. I would say low temperature at Stevens would range from 30-45 that time of day in late September, and high temperature in the Wenatchee Valley 85-100. Also, add "proper tire inflation" to the list of things to have taken care of before the drive. I say this as the culprit that once held up our departure for that reason. My cat is going in next week for its 3 year service so I will be ready to roar for our event.

Thanks for the effort Muddy. Looks good except for the part about having the banner .
Eastbound stops will still include the all too short Old Cascade highway drive and Iron Goat trail Rest Rooms. Once over the summit we will again stop at Nason Creek Rest Area.
Last year we had a 3rd stop at Tumwater Dam, which we will miss taking the Chumstick route. Not a big deal as we are only 40 minutes from Nason to Leaveworth.
If anyone has knowledge of the Chumstick route and can offer a suggestion, speak up please! I know we are very near Lake Winatchee State park, but that will require a day pass for entry.
Westbound will most likely hit Dairy Queen in Cle Elum (just because), and as mentioned, the Denny Creek byway.
Parting meal last year was at XXX drive-in. I'm sorry to say a couple of us were disappointed. Does anyone have other options in that (or close) area?
Thanks again Muddy for the work...
