Just to let you know.. I run Linux here - but with Wine, and downloading it from http://www.cannell.co.uk/Jaguar_Work...uals/JCD-1.zip
It worked straight away after unzipping and running setup.. If I can get it to run in Linux it should definately be Ok for Windows users :-)
Now I just need to get used to its format..
Many many thanks for this

this downloaded fine for me, and i can open the program, but as soon as i click one of the buttons it closes the program.

upon install it mentioned clicking the disk 1 setup yet still finished installing. if i try clicking that file it doesnt work and talks about 32 bit vs 64 bit. i tried the compatibility mode and it did not work either.

Update: Solution to your internet browers invalid link errors (getting "This link wasn't well formed") when trying open the dropbox.com using the PDF weblinks I have in this post.

Looks like I had a bad upload to the dropbox.com website (PDF file for JTIS21 install on 32 bit Windows Operating systems (Windows 8, Windows 7, XP, and Vista)
I fixed the issue by reuploading the PDF file.

If you ever get the "This link wasn't well formed" - invalid link error, then you should look at the solution I found on the internet that is in the following PDF file:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/a...che-issues-pdf

End of Update

Here is what you need to know before you download and install the JTIS21 software

First you need to determine whether your PC has a 32 bit or 64 bit Operating System.

Method to determine Windows XP 32 bit or 64 bit
Look at this JPEG (has instructions/illustrations) Click on the image when the dropbox webpage to get a better view:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/0zo00wh83i...20bit%20OS.jpg

Method to determine Windows 7 (32 bit or 64 bit Operating System):
Look at this JPEG (has instructions/illustrations) Click on the image when the dropbox webpage to get a better view:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/khcyplnz98...20bit%20OS.jpg

This PDF covers install on a 64 bit Windows 7 Operating System (also the other windows 64 bit OS - Windows 8, XP, and Vista):
https://www.dropbox.com/s/fe6jkw5py3...bit%20v1.6.pdf

If you have windows 8 64 bit you may have to download the microsoft 32 bit help software for windows 8
https://www.dropbox.com/s/0wtvz3ux3s...917607-x64.msu

PDF file for JTIS21 install on 32 bit Windows Operating systems (Windows 8, Windows 7, XP, and Vista):
https://www.dropbox.com/s/j6wjvc5esl...%20systems.pdf

I put the JTIS archive files up on my dropbox account. I have had no problems with the downloads on the dropbox.com site.

When the dropbox webpage opens, just click on the download button and use the run option on the popup.

Here are the weblinks to the all models (JTIS21) archives files.

Part1.exe is 190 mb (195313 kb)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/fvdg6rsl63...CD.part1.exe?m

Part2.rar is 190 mb (195313 kb)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/bwx4uch8m9...CD.part2.rar?m

Part3.rar is 58.9 mb (60318 kb)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/xk49mq38ch...CD.part3.rar?m

Decide where to place the JTIS files after they are extracted (CD or on PC hard drive).

This PDF describes both the CD and Hard drive processes:

Hi Tony
Apparently some of the PC(s) have a DNS memory Cache issue that is causing the Invalid file format you are experiencing when you try to use the weblinks in my post (post# 164).

I updated post# 164 just now with instructions on how to clear the DNS memory Cache issue.

Go to post 164 for the instructions on how to clear the DNS memory Cache and then all the weblinks will work properly.

Great stuff here Jim. Thank you.

I see in the links that the pdf describing installation on 64bit systems is not actually a pdf file but a jpg. I think the link is referencing the wrong info.

My error, Thank you
I am getting a little punchy, I had to post this Great stuff in 8 different threads.
I corrected the weblink.
Please test all the links in the post# 164 for me.

Looks like jagdocs.com sells the workshop manual PDF file download for 2006 thru 2009 XK8/XKR model X150 for $11.39.

http://www.jagdocs.com/index.php?mai...roducts_id=234

I am not sure how it was created (maybe from TOPIX????)

Anyone know how I can get JTIS info for 1999 XK8? I have tried all the different links, and they lead from one commercial operation to another, all with subscription charges, without ever referring to the JTIS information. Is there anywhere I can just download the info, instead of getting an account that is says will download any info I want, but then they don't work, and nothing can be downloaded?

Not quite sure what your question is.

If you are having an issue you might want to start a new thread instead of attaching it onto the JTIS sticky. That was you are more likely to get timely responses

Welcome to the forums. This is the X TYPE section. You will have better luck if you check in the XK section. Someone in that forum might be able to help you.

Thanks will do. From your username I take it you have some interest in Alfas too? I must admit to having owned and loved a few!

Best regards

John
