Then follow the small line from the front of the tank described by X300man to another overflow tank located in the left fenderwell.

Thanks to you all for your very helpful responses. I know where to look now. Say, do I put coolant in directly? Or should it be mixed with water? The coolant I have is called ABRO Long Lasting Green and says DO NOT DILUTE.

The advice on the forum is not to mix different colours of antifreeze as they can react with each other and coagulate and form blockages etc.....If the one you have is the correct standard for the Jaguar - check the standards and recommendations in the hand book etc. - and it states 'don't dilute'...then, don't dilute......Hope this helps

Thank you very much Allan.
Meanwhile i had an owner's manual that I misplaced a little while ago. How do I get a free manual online for the Jaguar XJ8? The ones I have come across require some form of payment. Even so, they may not be comprehensive enough.

You can download both the Driver's Handbook and the Vehicle Care Handbook as free PDF's.

Use Green Coolant only. You can buy it either full strength or diluted. They cost almost the same. Since yours says don't dilute, it is already pre mixed with 50% water. Read the forum about downloading "JTIS". It is a time consuming process, but worth it. That will give you most of the technical information you need.

Buy some extra hard plastic coolant lines for about $26 each. They break very easily. CHEAP insurance.
