Oil And Trans Temp Gauge?

Oil And Trans Temp Gauge?
So with Thermo's threads last week about the Engineering Test Mode and the hidden menu in the radio, it got me thinking: do we have a way to electronically see other important information about our vehicles?
Here's what I mean. With my wife's 2014 Dodge Durango R/T, I am able to go through the EVIC menu and see the oil temp, battery voltage, trans temp, etc. For me it's useful so that I can make sure the internals are properly warm before I really get on the gas.
Our 5.0L's warm up to operating temperature very quickly because of the reverse-induction system upon start-up, but engine temp doesn't necessarily mean that the oil and trans temps are up to optimal temperature yet. Is there a way to check and see what the temps would be within one of these menus? Or is there a separate one somewhere just for this info? I figure if we have to rely on an E-dipstick there's got to be a temp sensor in there somewhere!

a6kmita, I am not aware of any way to see the temperatures that you are interested in using what is built into the car. With this being said, if you got say an ELM327 unit and an android based phone, you can access the data that way and then you can simply mount the screen somewhere on the dash and the phone will pull the data from the ECU and display it for you. The whole set up would run you about $40 (the cost of the ELM 327 unit, assuming you have an android based phone already).
The other option is something like Pro Automatic Sensor OBD II Insert 5 5 inch Multi Data Vehicle Head Up Display | eBay. This is the first example that I came across. You can then program it to display what you want and if you mounted it say over the instrument cluster, may even give you heads up display of the critical data.
The third option is to simply get an above basic code reader that will do real time data and then you can scroll through the info then and see what you want to see.

Option 1: ELM327 ($20) connected via Bluetooth to my recycled, antique Droid Incredible running the free Torque app in my XJ:
