ABS light and rear bulb - just in case you have an intermittent ABS light problem
Sharing, as it might just help someone now or later.
Since the last 3 months, had the dreaded CHECK REAR LIGHT warning coming up every now and then.
Always during operation of the brake pedal, and always disappearing on the next push.
Also had the ABS warning light sometimes, which always disappeared on the next start up.
Checked my bulbs and the connections several times (which I made clean and tight 2 years ago), but all was working and tight those times.
Then, 2 weeks ago, had the CHECK REAR LIGHT warning permanently, the right rear brake light not lighting up any more.
The ABS light came on shortly after that, and did not disappear, not with a re-start, nor with a hard reset.
Changed the bulb when home, and both messages disappeared, not coming back any more in an other 600 miles.
I checked the old bulb, and suspect the wires to be kind of crossing after one broke, hence the intermittent warnings, and lights still working most of the times.
I have no idea how, but it surely interfered with the ABS module.
So if you have intermittent ABS warnings only, you might check your rear bulbs before cutting into the module.

Yeah I'm in the process of knocking out my checklist on this on this gem. Today in audio shop, tomm it's in paint. I had the ABS codes pulled last week & it's surely in need of the solder fix. My question is can I have it removed & sent off to a rebuild service & still have the car operable.

You sure can. Don't need to detach brakelines either. Just bend brake pipes just enough. Lower bolts are slighltly more difficult to get to. Support the solenoids with something when packing unit up.
