Radio Security Code Help
My dad just bought a 1991 XJS and the guy he bought it from disconnected the battery and does not know the security code to the radio in the car. after taking the car to the jag dealer and paying over 100 bucks to get the code, it does not work. the car has only 5 preset buttons on the radio and the code we received has a "6" as one of the numbers which does not exist on the radio. Anyone have this issues/ resolve it?? anyway to bypass the code, attempting to keep the radio stock in the car

Here is who I used to get mine working. Can't find your factory car stereo radio code? We can help!
The thing was, it didn't work at first. It took a few tries, disconnecting the battery each time. My car had been sitting for a couple of years. Get the code, and keep trying. It's hard to accept the dealer taking your money with 0 results.

I've heard good reports of radio code finder...I think you need the vin # if the radio is original....if not you will have to take the radio out to get it's serial #.
You have a AJ8700 radio (used up to 1992 MY).....long shot here try 24255....I read somewhere that it might work as a "generic" code.
