Post #34 is where I suggested them. Again not saying you told me to go to Ebay.

Damn I spent a pretty penny with you all, I feel I am getting slapped on the hand here.

Default part number

We gave you the Jaguar part number correct and you found it on Ebay? Ok I misunderstood I would have to read it again, I thought it said we gave you a Rover part number and directed you to Ebay so I thought you had Jagbits confused with someone else. No big deal either way I just wanted to make sure I understood it correctly...

How many miles are on your car? Just replacing the valley hoses for preventive maint???
When you do the Valley hoses it adds much more work since you have to remove the TB and TB Elbow, which is more gaskets, then you may break the brake boost line that is a black plastic tube that has silver heat sheathing over it that comes out of pass strut tower directly into the TB/Elbow That tube passes through the TB where is is getting vacuum from. Well in the TB there is a oring that is ganna be dried up and shot, you will need to by a kit to redo that stuff. I the valley hose job is not as easy as you think.
The pass side valley hose connects to a tube, same tube the pass side octopus hose connects to, well on that tube, there is ANOTHER smaller hose that goes to the EGR, when I got down to that hose it was all BLOATED, leaking looking for a place to happen. So I replaced it.
I've got 81k miles on my car. It's preventative maintenance since I have pretty much changed all the other major hoses. I currently have no leaks of any kind, which seems to be like an amazing feat to me.

Yea I had no leaks on the valley hoses and they seemed to be in good shape. You may want to CONSIDER changing out your knock sensors also since you have the intake off. More money but if you are keeping the car long term may as well. I chose not to replace mine.

Please note that there is a difference between the early and later XK8. When ordering parts be very mindful or taking advise.
BRGJAG in good faith is trying to give you the right direction, but his car is the later model and may have you looking for things that are not there or different.
If you have done the octopus hose, you are going to have no problem with this.
Do a good write up and give all a heads up on what you did, seems we all have a different problem on every task.

since you are taking off the TB/Elbow you will need to the rubber green gasket that goes in the back side of the plenum where the TB mates to it. Again i would not reuse 81k gaskets. You DON'T want to go back in there

Alright, I'll get all the gaskets. It seems it'll be a while before I get to do this fix. The blizzard has delayed delivery of the other parts. Hopefully I can get the gaskets locally.

Just a heads up in case you haven't already realised - you will need a fuel disconnect tool for the fuel rail junction. Removing the inlet manifold is not difficult - just time consuming. Work methodically, take photographs as you disassemble and mark all fasteners to avoid confusion when putting everything back together. As said previously it's good practice to never re use gaskets. Worst bit of this job that I recall is the bolts on the side of the inlet elbow(the one the TB bolts to) - they are awkward but not impossible. Torque everything when rebuilding - you're fastening into alloy. Any problems just shout.
